Lisa Wallack, Gateways Parent of a Child in Day School
Voice from the Gates: Recognizing Sue Schweber
My name is Lisa Wallack. I am proud to be the co-chair, along with Michael Bohnen, of CJP’s 2011 Annual Campaign. I am also proud to be the immediate past co-chair of CJP’s Day School Education Commission, which works to ensure that our day community’s day schools are excellent, affordable and accessible to all.
The Gateways program, which is supported in part by CJP funding, is an invaluable resource to our community, enabling students with special needs to have access to day school.
In addition, Gateways talented and committed learning deliver services to children in day schools during school hours in a seamless and convenient manner.
Our daughter, who attends The Rashi School, works weekly with Ellen Forst, to clarify her speech and to learn to enunciate properly. Their meetings take place during the school day and in consultation with her teachers. Not only is this arrangement convenient, but it is stress-free and efficient for our daughter and for me.
We have chosen to use Gateways and we have been thrilled with both the high quality AND the convenience of the services offered.
